Kolkata, May 11 -- Manoj Kumar Agarwal, who served as the Chief Electoral Officer during the recent West Bengal Assembly elections, was on Monday appointed the new Chief Secretary of the state.
Agarwal's appointment was announced through a notification issued by the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms from the state secretariat Nabanna.
The present Chief Secretary Dushyant Nariala has been shifted to Delhi as Principal Resident Commissioner in the rank of Additional Chief Secretary of the West Bengal government.
