Kolkata, April 23 -- The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Thursday called for Action Taken Reports following two separate incidents of poll violence in West Bengal's Murshidabad district, officials said.

In Nowda, a clash broke out between Trinamool Congress and Aam Janata Unnayan Party (AJUP) workers, leading to attacks on vehicles linked to AJUP candidate Humayun Kabir.

In Domkal, Left Front workers and supporters were allegedly barred from casting their votes.

There were also allegations that Central forces initially remained inactive and that adequate assistance was not provided by the state police.
