Kolkata, April 23 -- A vehicle carrying Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) Asansol South candidate Agnimitra Paul was allegedly attacked as she was leaving a polling station in her constituency during voting for the first phase of the West Bengal Assembly election on Thursday.

Paul told UNI that her car was attacked at Asansol's Rahmatnagar area during her second visit to a booth.

"I had just sat down in my car and the driver had started the engine when suddenly we got jolted by the sound of glass shattering," Paul said.

According to her, a stone had been pelted at her car, shattering its windscreen.

"We could not recognise those who hurled the stone but we managed to get out of the area," Paul said before describing the incident as a "repe...
