Kolkata, Sept. 6 -- West Bengal Minister for Jails and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Chandranath Sinha, today surrendered before a special court of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Kolkata in the primary teachers' recruitment scam.
The ED sought his custody for questioning, but the court rejected the plea and instead granted him conditional bail against a personal bond of Rs 10,000.
The Trinamool Congress (TMC) MLA from Bolpur in Birbhum has been directed to remain within his constituency and Kolkata, and extend full cooperation in the ongoing probe until the hearing process is concluded.
