Siliguri, July 29 -- West Bengal Minister of State for Labour and Public Health Engineering (PHE) Bhaskar Bhattacharya on Wednesday asked industrial bodies, traders' associations and trade unions to submit their objections and suggestions on the draft rules of the Code on Wages, 2019, within the stipulated consultation period.
During a meeting with departmental officials in Malda, the minister said the feedback would help the state government frame rules that are both industry-friendly and labour-friendly before implementing the legislation. Earlier, he met advocates at the Malda district court.
