Siliguri, May 31 -- 0 West Bengal Governor R N Ravi on Sunday expressed concern over what he described as a sustained attempt to weaken public confidence in the country's constitutional institutions and democratic processes at a time when India is advancing towards the vision of a "New India".
Addressing a gathering at Dinabandhu Mancha here during the celebration of Devarshi Narad Jayanti, organised by Vishwa Samvad Kendra, Uttar Banga, the Governor said efforts were being made by certain forces, both within and outside the country, to undermine national morale and create distrust among citizens.
