Kolkata, Aug. 19 -- The possibility of a sharp rise in student enrolment from West Bengal under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) has increased following the change of government in the state this year, Board of Practical Training - Eastern Region (BOPT-ER) director S M Ejaz Ahmed said on Wednesday.
Speaking at a press conference to announce the Regional Apprentice Day (RAD), 2026, scheduled for September 5, Ahmed said the state could benefit significantly from the Central government's apprenticeship programme, particularly in creating opportunities for unemployed youth.
