Kolkata, June 27 -- West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari on Friday asserted that his government would adopt a zero-tolerance approach towards "anti-national activities" and organised crime, while reiterating its commitment to granting citizenship to "genuine refugees" under the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA).
Addressing a programme organised by the Citizens Empowerment Forum at Rabindra Sadan to commemorate the 189th birth anniversary of Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay and the 150 anniversary of 'Vande Mataram', the Chief Minister said the land of Bankim Chandra, Sri Aurobindo and Subhas Chandra Bose and Syama Prasad Mookerjee would not tolerate lawlessness or activities detrimental to national security.
