Kolkata, June 12 -- As India's new envoy Dinesh Trivedi drove down to Bangladesh, West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari on Friday refused to comment on the diplomatically contentious issue of push-ins and push-backs, stating the matter will be handled by ministry of external affairs in Delhi.

"I cannot comment on the foreign policy of the country. The foreign ministry is there to asess the situation.Whatever is decided by a small country such as Bangladesh will be handled by the external affairs ministry in Delhi," Adhikari said while noting that Bangladesh shares borders with five Indian states and that if need be the issue would be assessed by the Centre.
