Kolkata, June 23 -- West Bengal government on Tuesday announced the formation of a committee to recommend the renaming of roads and public places across the state, while asserting that names associated with "Mughal and Pathan rule" would gradually be removed from Kolkata's landscape.
Making the announcement while replying to the debate on the Governor's address in the Assembly, Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari said the panel would be headed by Swami Pradiptananda alias Kartick Maharaj.
