Kolkata, June 23 -- West Bengal police's Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on Tuesday received permission to collect a voice sample from Trinamool Congress National General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee in connection with the case regarding his remarks about playing DJs.

The CID during the day moved an application before the Bidhannagar Court seeking to collect the sample for the sake of investigation. After the magistrate granted the request, June 30 has been fixed as the date for collecting the sample.

As per the court's order, Banerjee must appear at the Bidhannagar Court on that day to have his voice recorded. A magistrate and a forensic expert will be present. The Trinamool MP has already undergone day-long questioning at the CID...
