Kolkata, June 12 -- Fresh speculation over a possible split within the Trinamool Congress Parliamentary party has intensified after copies of several pages bearing the "signatures" of 19 party MPs emerged in the public domain, triggering political debate in West Bengal and beyond.

According to sources close to a group of dissident MPs, the signatories have allegedly written to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla seeking recognition as a separate parliamentary bloc.
