Jalpaiguri, June 21 -- Six persons have died and more than 20 others injured in the aftermath of an accident involving a North Bengal State Transport Corporation (NBSTC) bus and a stationary truck-trailer in West Bengal's Jalpaiguri district on Sunday morning. The toll is likely to mount as the condition of some passengers is critical.

The bus, carrying around 40 passengers and travelling from Siliguri to Cooch Behar along the East-West Corridor, rammed into the parked trailer at high speed, on National Highway 27 near Ulladabri, police sources said.
