Krishnagar, Sept. 6 -- A Bengal youth who had travelled from Nadia district to Odisha in search of work was allegedly kidnapped and held for ransom, with his captors threatening to sell his body organs if his family failed to pay up.

A joint operation by Santipur police and their counterparts in West Midnapore, however, led to his safe rescue and the arrest of two alleged members of the kidnapping racket.

Police said the arrested men have been identified as Sheikh Sahil and Rabiul Gayen, both residents of West Midnapore.
