Kolkata, Aug. 9 -- The West Bengal government has begun fresh efforts to revive industrialisation in Singur, which has remained without major industry or cultivation for nearly 15 years, with Industry and Commerce Minister Tapas Roy saying today that the state has resumed contact with the Tata Group to explore investment opportunities in the state.

Addressing a press conference at Nabanna, Roy criticised the previous government over the Singur episode, contending that the decision had been imposed through force.
