Kolkata, Aug. 27 -- Sharmistha Bhowmik Roy, daughter-in-law of former Railway Minister Mukul Roy and wife of former Bijpur MLA Subhranshu Roy, is among the tourists reported missing in Nepal following a devastating flash flood.
Sharmistha had travelled to Nepal alone as part of a 32-member group organised by a Kolkata-based tourism agency. The group left for Nepal on August 21 and was headed towards Kailash-Manasarovar.
Subhranshu said his wife had been on the missing list since the disaster and that the family had been unable to contact her.
"My wife's name is on the missing list. Our children did not accompany her and are with me. I am in touch with the administration," he said.
