Birbhum, Aug. 4 -- A first-year MBBS student from Haryana lost his life after reportedly falling from a moving train near Sainthia in West Bengal's Birbhum district while travelling with fellow students, prompting an investigation by the Government Railway Police (GRP).
On Sunday evening, Gaurav Deswal and his six batchmates were travelling to Burdwan to watch a movie by Ma Tara Express when he suddenly fell from the running train between Sainthia and Gadadharpur Railway Stations.
The Sainthia GRP immediately recovered him and first sent him to Sainthia State General Hospital, but later shifted him to Burdwan Medical College Hospital as his condition deteriorated.
