Rampurhat, Sept. 7 -- The Rampurhat sub-divisional administration has temporarily withdrawn closure notices issued to 15 hotels in Chandipur Mouza of Tarapith, providing relief to the hospitality sector just days ahead of the Kaushiki Amavasya festival.
The decision was taken in view of the expected influx of more than six lakh pilgrims to the temple town for the festival on September 10. The hotels have been granted a two-month relaxation period to upgrade safety infrastructure and obtain mandatory clearances, including fire safety certificates, food safety licences, liquor licences and electrical wiring validations.
