Siliguri, July 8 -- The Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (DHR) has registered its highest-ever revenue for June, earning Rs 3.98 crore in June 2026, up from Rs 3.25 crore during the corresponding period last year.

Calling it a significant milestone, Kapinjal Kishore Sharma, Chief Public Relations Officer of the Northeast Frontier Railway, said the record-breaking performance reflects the growing popularity of the UNESCO World Heritage railway among tourists and the sustained efforts of the railway to enhance heritage tourism and passenger experience.
