Rampurhat, Sept. 21 -- The Indian National Congress achieved a clean sweep in the Kushmore High Madrasa Management Committee elections under the Nalhati Assembly constituency in West Bengal's Birbhum district, winning all six contested seats.
The decisive victory was officially declared following a prolonged, highly secure and meticulously monitored counting process.
The latest election results in Nalhati in Birbhum district are significant as they give an indication of a possible shift in opposition-controlled minority votes in the state from the TMC to the Congress, political analysts said.
