Asansol, May 16 -- A day after protests at Jahangir Mohalla police outpost turned violent, West Bengal Chief Minister Shuvendu Adhikari today warned that a strong action will be taken against the perpetrators and said that the 'Yogi model' of Uttar Pradesh will be followed to control such incidents recurring in future.

Notably, protests held at Jahangir Mohalla police outpost under Asansol North Police Station of Asansol Durgapur Police Commissionerate against the loudspeaker rules at religious places turned violent last night after the protesters allegedly vandalised the phanri and vehicles in the nearby area and also pelted stones.

Following which, CM Adhikari said that a strong action will be taken against those involved in this act. T...
