Hyderabad, June 11 -- Telangana Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar on Wednesday strongly condemned remarks allegedly made against India's first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and said belittling Nehru's role in nation-building while highlighting Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 12-year tenure amounted to "an insult to history."In a video statement, the Minister said that when India attained independence, the country faced severe challenges including food shortages, unemployment, industrial backwardness and lack of infrastructure, and asserted that Nehru laid the foundation for a self-reliant India.
