Beed, April 17 -- A severe spike in temperatures has gripped Beed, with the mercury climbing to 43.1 degrees Celsius, significantly intensifying heatwave conditions across the district. The Mumbai Regional Meteorological Centre has issued a 'yellow alert' for the region until April 18, warning of continued high temperatures and potential health risks.

The rising heat has disrupted daily life, prompting experts and authorities to advise residents to avoid venturing outdoors between 12 noon and 3 pm unless absolutely necessary. The administration has specifically urged heightened care for vulnerable groups, including the elderly and young children, who are more susceptible to heat-related illnesses such as heatstroke.
