Bhubaneswar, Sept. 16 -- The Bhubaneswar-Cuttack-Puri-Paradip Economic Region (BCPPER) has been envisioned as a key driver to achieve a USD 500-billion economy by 2036, supporting Odisha's broader aspiration of becoming a USD 1.5-trillion economy by 2047, Principal Economic Advisor to NITI Aayog, Anna Roy, said.

Speaking at a Stakeholder Consultation Meeting on BCPPER, today Roy outlined an exhaustive "Growth-Hub Strategy" for the corridor.

Development Commissioner-cum-Additional Chief Secretary Garg highlighted the unique character of the four core cities-Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Puri, and Paradip,and stressed that this distinctiveness must be preserved and celebrated even as the region moves towards rapid urban and economic expansion.
