Berlin, April 12 -- Bayern Munich broke the record for the most goals scored in a single Bundesliga season as they thrashed St Pauli to open up a 12-point lead at the top of the table.

Jamal Musiala gave them a ninth-minute with a diving header at the back post, before Leon Goretzka, Michael Olise, Nicolas Jackson and Raphael Guerreiro scored in the second half to secure a convincing victory.

Musiala's header from a Konrad Laimer cross was Bayern's 101st league goal this season, equalling the record they set in 1971-72 for the most scored in a Bundesliga campaign.
