Chandigarh, Feb. 16 -- In a significant legal setback for the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Punjab, a local court in Bathinda on Monday dismissed the anticipatory bail plea of Satveer Kaur, the Sarpanch of Kaljharani village. Kaur is currently facing serious allegations of bribery and extortion related to a job appointment scam. The Punjab Vigilance Bureau, which has registered a formal case against her, is expected to carry out an arrest shortly following the court's decision.
