Hunsuru, April 20 -- Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Monday asserted that the ideologies of 12th-century social reformer Basavanna are essential for achieving true social transformation and creating an egalitarian society.
Speaking after inaugurating the newly constructed Sri Ganapathi Temple at Kanaka Bhavana here, organised by the Taluk Kuruba Development Committee, the Chief Minister emphasised that his administration is committed to the cause of those deprived of social justice.
"I have practiced politics for 42 years on behalf of the marginalised, and the people have consistently supported me. Our government's work is pro-people, and I am confident that the Congress party will emerge victorious in the 2028 Assembly elections...
