Chandigarh, April 14 -- The ongoing controversy involving a Punjab cabinet minister, an AAP MLA, and a Hoshiarpur-based entrepreneur regarding alleged extortion from the businessman, has escalated into a major political standoff following the release of bank transaction details by opposition leaders on Tuesday.
Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu and senior Shiromani Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia shared evidence of a financial transfer, alleging that the family of AAP MLA Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal transferred Rs 6.50 lakh to the account of 'Zaildar Trolley' owners on Monday night to cover up an earlier extortion attempt.
