Agartala, Aug. 9 -- A Bangladeshi national was killed in a shooting involving on-duty Border Security Force (BSF) personnel near Gate No. 47 along the India-Bangladesh border in the Maguruli area of Kailashahar in Tripura's Unakoti district on Saturday morning.
The incident triggered tension in villages along the border, prompting the BSF to increase its deployment in the area and engage with local villagers, police sources said.
The deceased has been identified as Tara Mia, 30, reportedly a resident of the Dashteki area of Bangladesh.
