Dhaka, Aug. 19 -- Voting in Bangladesh's presidential election will be held on Thursday afternoon, with the country's newly elected president scheduled to take oath at Bangabhaban on Friday evening, Jatiya Sangsad Chief Whip Md Nurul Islam Moni said on Wednesday.
Voting will commence at 2pm local time and continue until 5pm in the Jatiya Sangsad chamber, he said at a press conference following a meeting of the BNP Parliamentary Party.
The Election Commission and parliament have decided to broadcast the voting process live, beginning five minutes before polling starts.
