Dhaka, May 14 -- At least seven more children have died from measles and measles-like symptoms in the last 24 hours, pushing the total number of confirmed and suspected deaths in Bangladesh's worsening outbreak to 439, according to the Directorate General of Health Services.

Officials said one of the latest deaths was laboratory-confirmed as measles, while six others were classified as suspected cases.

The newly confirmed death was reported from the Dhaka Division, bringing the country's total confirmed measles death toll to 70.

The six suspected deaths raised the overall suspected death count to 369.
