New Delhi, Nov. 11 -- Known for his anti-India comments, Shafiqul Alam, the press secretary of Bangladesh Chief Advisor Mohammed Yunus, has invited condemnation for terming Indian journalists as "bootlicking".
The Press Club of India has demanded an apology from Alam, terming his disparaging remarks about Indian journalists as "reprehensible".
Alam, had in a Facebook post on November 11, referred to reporters from several outlets in India and abroad who recently interviewed former Bangladeshi prime minister Sheikh Hasina as "Western journalists and their Indian bootlicking counterparts".
