Karimnagar, April 24 -- union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Friday described the death of RTC driver Shankar Goud as a tragic incident, alleging that it was the result of "government negligence" and amounted to a "government-sponsored murder."Speaking to the media, he accused the state government of intimidating RTC workers and showing indifference despite the ongoing strike.
He criticised the Congress government, saying it was repeating the mistakes of the previous BRS regime, during which similar incidents had occurred.
The union minister pointed out that the Congress had promised in its election manifesto to merge RTC with the government and implement two Pay Revision Commissions (PRCs).
