Ballari, Sept. 10 -- The BJP on Thursday signalled that its 10-day 'Ballari Chalo' padayatra was only the opening salvo in a prolonged political battle against the ruling Congress, with state president B Y Vijayendra declaring that the party would sustain its offensive against the government for the next one-and-a-half years.
With the padayatra concluding in Ballari, Vijayendra sought to turn the campaign into a larger political narrative, saying the end of the march marked the beginning of a sustained fight against what he described as a 'corrupt and anti-people' government.
