Jakarta, June 6 -- Indonesia's home favourite Jonatan Christie will play in the men's singles final at his home top-level badminton tournament, the BWF Indonesia Open 2026, after coming from behind to win his semi-final here on Saturday .

The fifth seed fell behind to Thai Panitchaphon Teeraratsakul, dropping the opening game at the Istora Senayan 16-21. But he bounced back to win the next two games without much resistance from his unseeded opponent Panitchapon, closing out a 16-21, 21-10, 21-12 win in 58 minutes.
