Macau, June 21 -- Former world junior badminton champion Hu Zhe'an produced an impressive turnaround for an 11-21, 21-10, 21-13 victory over Kantaphon Wangcharoenfor his maiden BWF World Tour title at the Macau Open 2026 on Sunday.
The 19-year-old Hu looked a beaten man after the first game but roared back in the second and third to deny former world bronze medallist Wangcharoen his first crown at this level.
Thai shuttler Wangcharoen came out swinging against Hu of the People's Republic of China, streaking to an imposing 11-3 lead at the half-game break with a five-point run giving him the early advantage.
