Taipei, July 27 -- The Taipei Open 2026 badminton tournament gets underway in Chinese Taipei on Tuesday, with HS Prannoy and Unnati Hooda leading the Indian contingent at theBWF Super 300 event.

The badminton tournament will be played at the Taipei Arena in Taipei City.

Currently ranked 36th and seeded eighth, HS Prannoy heads the men's singles draw for India in the absence of Lakshya Sen and Ayush Shetty.

However, Prannoy, an Asian Games bronze medallist, has endured a difficult 2026 BWF season and is yet to progress beyond the second round in any of the eight tournaments he has contested this year.
