New Delhi, June 15 -- : The Ministry of Ayush on Monday launched the countdown to the 12th International Day of Yoga (IDY), announcing that the main national event on June 21, 2026, will be held at Kolkata's Red Road and led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Addressing a curtain-raiser event at the National Media Centre, union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Ayush Prataprao Jadhav said this year's theme, "Yoga for Healthy Ageing", focuses on promoting physical and mental well-being amid a rapidly ageing global population.
