Kolkata, June 19 -- Ayush Minister Prataprao Jadhav on Friday flagged off the 'Daud Se Dhyan 2026' marathon in Kolkata ahead of the 12th International Day of Yoga (IDY) 2026, according to a statement from the Ministry.
Jadhav, accompanied by West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari, inaugurated the run from the Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) headquarters to the historic Writers' Building. The event was followed by a yoga and meditation session at Writers' Building.
Organised under the government's Swachhata Se Swagat programme, the initiative sought to promote health, cleanliness and civic responsibility while encouraging wider participation in yoga.
