Hyderabad, April 7 -- Telangana Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao on Tuesday advised farmers to avoid excessive use of urea and adopt scientific practices.

While interacting with them under the weekly "Rythu Nestam" programme from the Secretariat through video conference, Tummala sought feedback from farmers on the Urea App and its usage.

Farmers appreciated the app, saying it has eliminated long queues and enabled them to book fertiliser from home and collect it at their convenience.

The Minister said the government would take decisions based on farmers' feedback and directed officials to ensure wider participation in the programme, which aims to address farmers' concerns and promote modern agricultural practices.
