New Delhi, March 13 -- India's automobile industry recorded strong growth in February this year, with passenger vehicles, two-wheelers and three-wheelers registering their highest-ever sales for the month, reflecting improving consumer demand and positive market sentiment.
According to data released by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM) on Thursday here, passenger vehicle sales rose to 4.17 lakh units in February, registering a 10.6 per cent growth compared with the same month last year.
The three-wheeler segment also witnessed robust expansion, with sales increasing 29 per cent year-on-year to 74,573 units, indicating improved demand in the commercial mobility segment.
