Indore, Oct. 25 -- The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) today condemned the incident involving two Australian women cricketers during the ICC Women's World Cup 2025 here.
In an official statement, Devajit Saikia, Honorary Secretary of the BCCI, described the episode as "deeply regrettable and isolated," emphasising India's commitment to hospitality and safety for all visiting players.
The players were reportedly approached and touched inappropriately by a motorcyclist while walking to a cafe near their hotel around 11 am.
