Ch. Sambhajinagar, Oct. 26 -- The Aurangabad railway station in Maharashtra has been officially renamed Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Railway Station following approval from the union Home Ministry.
The station, which comes under the Nanded Division of South Central Railway, will now be identified by the new code CPSN across all railway systems and databases.
Central Railway officials confirmed today that the renaming process has been fully completed after the necessary approval was received from the central government yesterday. The new name and code will now appear on all platform signage, railway timetables, reservation systems, and digital display boards in a phased manner across the network.
