Varanasi, Aug. 30 -- Uttar Pradesh Congress President Ajay Rai today described the attack by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers on Sadakat Ashram (Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee office) in Patna as a result of fear and panic.

Rai protested against this incident by wearing a black band at his office in Lahurabir, Varanasi. He said that many Congress workers were injured in this attack.

He said that the 'Voter Rights Yatra' of Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi is getting widespread support from the public, due to which the BJP has become uncomfortable. "In panic, BJP workers adopted a violent attitude and unsuccessfully tried to suppress the democratic movement of Congress," he claimed.
