Chennai/Puducherry, April 12 -- The April nine Legislative Assembly Elections in States of Assam and West Bengal and in the union Territory of Puducherry have drawn global attention,as 38 International delegates from 22 countries witnessed firsthand, the scale, precision and vibrancy of India's electoral process, as part of Election Commission of India's International Election Visitors' Programme (IEVP) 2026.
In Puducherry 12 delegates from 6 countries (Kyrgyz Republic, Coted' Ivoire, Moldova, Mongolia, Guyana, Bhutan) had a first hand information on the electoral process.
