Chennai, Sept. 22 -- Amid wide criticisms from the Opposition and from Left parties supporting the government and day after the DMK petitioned the Election Commission of India (ECI) seeking to cancel the ruling TVK's Star Campaingers list for the October six bypoll to two Assembly seats as it contained the of names alliance party leaders--who are not members of the TVK party--which wasin violation of the RPA, the TVK has dropped their names from the list.
The list contained names of all alliance party leaders, who are part of the newly formed Secular Social Justice Vettri Alliance headedby the TVK, which had converted the alliance to a new Front.
