Guwahati, Nov. 12 -- A day after Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma issued a warning, Assam police have arrested five individuals and identified 34 other terror sympathisers for allegedly supporting the Delhi bomb blast.
"In connection with the recent Delhi blast, Assam Police has arrested the following individuals for spreading offensive and inflammatory content online. Assam Police will continue to act swiftly and firmly against anyone misusing social media to spread hatred or glorify terror," said the Assam Chief Minister on his X handle.
He also gave the names of those arrested as Mattiur Rahman (Darrang) Hassan Ali Mondal (Goalpara), Abdul Latif (Chirang), Wajhul Kamal (Kamrup), Nur Amin Ahmed (Bongaigaon).
