Guwahati, May 4 -- The incumbent Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) is set for a landslide win in the North East state of Assam as it has already won 81 seats hand is leading in one, as per latest update by the Election Commission of India (ECI).

The Indian National Congress (INC) is a distant second as it has won 12 seats and is leading in 7.

Bodoland Peoples Front (BPF) has won 10 seats and his leading in none.

Assam Gan Parishad(AGP) is forth placed, securing 9 seats and leading in one.

All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) has won two seats that's far and is leading in none.

The Assam legislative assembly has a total of 126 seats and 64 seats are required for a simple majority.
