Brisbane, July 19 -- Australia's Jesse Asmus and Britain's Bethany Shriever were crowned the men's and women's elite champions at the 2026 BMX Racing World Championships after Sunday's finals were canceled because of persistent strong winds here.
Under union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) regulations, when a competition is canceled before the finals, the results from the last completed round in each category are used to determine the final standings.
Asmus topped the men's elite classification ahead of Britain's Ross Cullen and France's Mathis Ragot Richard.
