Manama (Bahrain), Oct. 29 -- Wrestler Yashita added another gold to India's growing medal tally at the Asian Youth Games 2025, clinching the girls' freestyle wrestling 61kg title in a thrilling final.
According to the Olympics.com, the young wrestler edged past Kazakhstan's Zhaidar Mukat 5-5 on criteria -- on the basis of the final point scored -- after a slow start in the final to clinch India's fourth gold at the ongoing Asian Youth Games yesterday.
This marked India's second gold of the competition after weightlifter Priteesmita Bhoi earlier triumph. The remaining two golds by India were bagged by the men's and women's kabaddi teams.
